Study at Czech schools
High quality education has a long tradition in Bohemia, especially in Engineering and Medicine. The first Central European University was founded in Prague in 1348 by Charles IV. The Czech Technical University is one of the oldest institutes of technology in the heart of Europe and the oldest non-military technical university in Europe.
In the Czech Republic there are 26 public, 2 state and 42 private higher education institutions and study programmes are open also for foreign students. About 40 000 foreign students are currently studying Czech educational institutions and the numbers have been increasing.
An advantage of studying at public universities in the Czech Republic is that the education is free of charge. At the private universities the students must pay tuition fees that vary to 25 000 USD per year and the amount depends on the programme and institution. There are courses taught in Czech, English or in another foreign language.
You can also register for one of our intensive preparatory courses, where our tutors will help you reach the level of the Czech language proficiency required by our Universities.
